MAJESTY Decided To End Their Career Journey

Majesty Band

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that MAJESTY has decided to cease all band activities. Thus, their forthcoming new album “Back to Attack” will be the last MAJESTY album and their upcoming album release show on 28 April 2023 in Würzburg will be the last concert of the German band.

Here is an excerpt from their statement:

“Hello all the metalheads out there, these words are very hard for us but at the same time we are thinking about it for quite some time now. “Back To Attack” which is kind of our comeback album after more than 3 years will also be our last album and the show we’re going to play on April 28 will be the last MAJESTY show. We think that we managed to put everything the band has into one last great album and at the same time we realize that from now on, all we can do is just copy ourselves.

Out of MAJESTY‘s 10th official album, the story seems to be really being told now and we don’t just want to do it again with a slightly different version that will never be as unique as the original. One thing is also very clear to us. We don’t want to just disappear with a few more albums and shows like “business as usual” without further surprises. We know that there are a lot of bands out there that do that and are really comfortable with it. But for us, we just don’t want to do that. With “Back To Attack” the band’s magic is still there and even stronger than in previous years, so we believe this album will be the perfect one to end this journey with complete happiness and a feeling of freedom. A club tour on the small stage we now want to put on a show in order to release the album “Back To Attack” on April 28th even though it’s bigger than planned, and play our new songs and all our best hits on the big stage with all the energy together as a band and the energy you put in front of the stage.

We really hope that you all can at least partially understand our decision which was actually really hard to make for us but it felt the right decision to end it like this with a great album and a great show. And even if some might think this is some sort of promotion, it’s not. We have always believed that we should do what we feel and this means following our heart. You never know what will happen in the future, but for now MAJESTY’s storyline ends on April 28th.”
