A breath of fresh air is now enveloping the formation of the Italian epic power metal band KALEDON, after guitarist Alex Mele returned to attract two former members to rejoin, the two former members being singer Marco Palazzi and drummer David Folchitto and added one new member, guitarist Francesco Ciancio. That way now the team formation has been updated and the full team strength is back on fire.
A little about guitarist Francesco Ciancio:
Francesco’s musical journey began as a child. Introduced to the world of music by his father, who is also a guitarist, Francesco admired and studied the great guitar heroes from his early years, passionately imitating their stage moves and playing postures.
At the age of 6, he became interested in classical guitar and rock guitar. At the age of 11, he was finally admitted to the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome. It was here that he earned a master’s degree in classical guitar in October 2020, while developing a keen interest in electric guitar.
He has performed worldwide as a classical and electric guitarist. Francesco also offers active participation in various musical projects covering various genres. He was fortunate enough to share the stage with renowned musicians such as Mike Mangini, John Macaluso and Gus G. He continued to learn new techniques. He is currently taking a pop guitar specialization course at Saint Louis College of Music.
On the other hand, former KALEDON members, Michele Guaitoli, Tommy Nemesio, Paolo Campitelli and Manuele Di Ascenzo left the band to focus more on their new projects.
Currently, KALEDON and their new line-up are reorganizing and working on material for their new songs. On the other hand, guitarist Francesco Ciancio is also consolidating and strengthening his skills in playing the guitar.
