German Heavy-Power Metal band BRAINSTORM is preparing to release their next album, “Plague Of Rats“, on February 28, 2025. The release will be their first with the record label Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), and will be followed by a tour in Europe. In addition, we can see the band live at the November Metal Fest in Vitoria.
The concept behind “Plague Of Rats“
Vocalist Andy B. Franck, explains that the new album explores the history and culture of India. “With “Maharaja Palace” on the album “Ambiguity” (2000) and especially our breakthrough with “Soul Temptation” (2003), I wanted to reflect my interest in this culture. Now I feel it is time to do it again. Indian music and harmonies are very well integrated into the BRAINSTORM sound”.
In the studio, the album was entrusted to Sebastian Seeb Levermann (ORDEN OGAN) at Greenman Studios, with artwork by Gyula Havancsák. In addition, “Plague Of Rats” also includes collaborations from famous artists such as Elina Siirala and Alexander Krull.

BRAINSTORM will celebrate the release of “Plague Of Rats” with an eight-date tour in Germany and Switzerland. They will feature ARION as the headline spot and STRANGER VISION as the opening act.

Regarding their new contract with RPM, the members of BRAINSTORM emphasize that this step is one of the most important in their careers. “From the very first conversation, we felt at home at RPM and had no doubts about our decision. Signing with a label from our own region, while being a band from southern Germany, is the best thing that could have happened to us.”
